BoB and Goons: A Living Monument

In perhaps the most poetic ending that could have happened to the Band of Brothers/Goonswarm sage, Karttoon has created a living monument of their struggle.  As many of you may know, Goons have controlled the alliance called Band of Brothers ever since Hargoth disbanded BoB.  Karttoon has placed Goonfleet (which he controls) into Band of Brothers (which he controls).  But even better, he has put enough ISK into the appropriate wallets to ensure that these two arch-enemies will be tied at the hip until the EVE servers eventually shut down.

Goonfleet, in the Band of Brothers alliance, devoid of players, tied together forever.  Sure, I can think of some other things that I'd have done differently if I were in Karttoon's shoes (convert all of that ISK into PLEX and use CCP's Haiti donation pledge), but I can't quite think of anything that would top this in terms of pure EVE awesomeness.

What a way to leave your mark on EVE.

  1. Pathetic. Idiotic. Meaningless…sorry to disagree but they just suck. The leader of all former goons is nothing more than a bloody thief, who only desire is to be known for something.

For the Goonswarm players I have fought and who died/ killed me in the past I sympathize with your loss

  2. should ahve been a *whose..in there apologies for the spelling error

  3. I certainly believe that he’s a lowdown thief and that this situation, like when BoB got disbanded from within, sucks. No single player within an alliance should have the ability to mass eject other corps and take charge of things from within.

However, I have no sympathy for the Goons this time around. They publicly rejoiced when Mittani revealed what happened to BoB, and the hand that Goonswarm had in it. They crowed while their longtime enemy lamented. And thus turnabout is fair play.

If they had instead shown solidarity for the enemy like -A- did when CVA was hacked-disbanded, I’d be singing a different tune. -A- publicly stated loudly and clearly, “None shall pass!” to all of those that thought to take advantage of CVA’s loss of alliance. Remember that -A- and CVA were, and still are, enemies with an open conflict raging between them. This was not simply one ally going to bat to defend the other, but one enemy choosing to do the right thing and help keep the status quo intact throughout the hacking incident.

With equal measure I again applaud -A- for their actions, while condemning Goons for theirs.
